24 | Resource Guide 3.1 Introduction The CG Guides series is primarily intended for Singapore-listed companies, although its principles and practical guidance may also apply to other organisations. The large amount of material involved necessitated its division into seven Guides. However, there are many common key concepts and terms, which are summarised in this section with their location in the individual Guides as indicated: • The regulatory environment in which Singapore-incorporated companies operate. • The typical structure of a company and the hierarchy of company personnel. • The external and internal stakeholders of the company that the Board may need to engage with. • The different types of directors in a company. • The typical structure of Boards and their Committees, and the secretaries of the Boards and Committees. • The options for risk governance, and the different scope and focus of the AC, ARC (Audit and Risk Committee) and BRC. • The different scope and focus of the NC and RC. • The sustainability agenda. • The training and evaluation of the Board and directors. • A list of the abbreviations used across the Guides. • A glossary of all the terms used in the eGuide to the Code of Corporate Governance.
