vii Foreword T he Board’s leadership is crucial for the long-term success of the company. As its apex decision-making body, the Board oversees management in developing and implementing strategies that create value for all stakeholders, while ensuring conformance to the rules and regulations of the jurisdictions in which the company operates. This Board Guide is part of a series of Corporate Governance Guides for Boards and Board Committees in Singapore. It is produced by the Singapore Institute of Directors with the support of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the Singapore Exchange Limited.
